About Me

I grew up in Overton, Hampshire, not far from where we’re living now and where my parents still live.  I’d love to say that I was interested in gardens at an early age, but I wasn’t - we were too busy making camps in the woods around the village.
 
It wasn’t until my husband and I owned our own house that I started to tend to the garden, but I hadn’t really a clue what I was doing - I just knew I loved it.  But small children and our own wine business meant that I rarely had time.
 
As the children reached school leaving age, I knew I wanted to learn more about plants and gardens, so I enrolled at Sparsholt College on the RHS Level 2 Principles of Horticulture course, followed by The Certificate and then Diploma in Garden Design, graduating with Distinction at both levels During my studies I worked part time in a garden nursery, advising customers on plant care and planting choices, giving me practical, hands on horticultural experience. Since setting up my own garden design business I have continued my professional development at The London College of Garden Design, graduating in 2022 with Distinction in the Construction Design Certificate.

I'm now doing what I love - designing gardens and working with plants. My portfolio covers a range of different types of gardens, from new builds to listed buildings and from small outdoor spaces to large, expansive gardens.  I aim to create elegant, practical gardens, designed around lifestyle, incorporating sustainable methods and materials and attracting biodiversity.
